Stop and smell the roses.

This weekend, I saw my first Georgia O’Keeffe. I knew her work was incredibly powerful but it evoked a visceral reaction in me and stopped me in my tracks. From a women’s movement, her work is beyond important but it was more than that. She is simply just an amazing artist who challenges our perceptions of beauty and captures what’s in front of us in a new and provocative way. If you’re in Toronto, stop by the AGO to see the Mystical Landscape exhibit or come visit in April when an entire exhibit will be dedicated to her.

Here is one of my favourites, credit of course goes to Ms. O’Keeffe herself.
